Everytime I activate it, am EMMI ends up walking into me regardless of whether it knows I'm there or not. And when I try moving during the cloak, it burns it out too quickly.

I love the idea of the EMMI sections, but instead of them being more stealth-based, I feel like you can cheese or pretty easily by just running shit-wild out of the room, which is less fun.

If you just use it out in the open along where the EMMI patrols, of course it's not going to help. It's best used in little morph ball holes to duck into until the EMMI passes, or as insurance to avoid being seen at the end of a section.

Also never use it when the EMMI is in pursuit mode. All that does is slow you down.

I tend to use it when the EMMI hears me. It'll go to investigate the sound, so I just put on the cloaking stuff and keep moving and pray.

i've found it helpful if i'm already back up against a wall, or in a corner, where the EMMI is unlikely to go. but if im standing in the middle of a room, or along a 'natural' route for it to walk, it's not helpful at all.

The EMMI sections are definitely designed more around escaping as quickly as possible rather than stealth. The Shadow Cloak is more for emergencies or if you happen to have a good opportunity to evade them with it.

I use Shadow Cloak either when I know they're close (to avoid triggering their detection range) or when they just heard me. Just make sure you're not in the same spot where they heard you.

Here, I just made a video of how I use the Phantom Cloak to evade E.M.M.I.. It has got me out of many binds. Even better if you have a morph ball cubby to roll into when you turn invisible.
