I was about to say Halloween because you don't need a subscription to watch it, but you totally do, so nevermind.

I'm really really looking forward to Dune. Bit worried that it only covers like a third of the original book, but that also makes me excited that if it does well they could end up doing the entire series. I'd fucking loooooove to see an adaptation of the God Emperor of Dune. Also seems to follow the book a bit closer than the 1984 movie, which is cool. Love that movie but the sonic gun thing is really dumb.

I don't think Dune really translates very well to the big screen. There is a lot philosophical points and bits of lore that will be overlooked in the translation to the theater. It really is a series you have to read to get the most out of. Turning Dune into a B rated action series is pretty much Brian Herbert's MO & everyone shits on him for it

Was there a stipulation about this comparison being American box office only? Dune's international box office alone is already nearly double Halloween Kills' gross.
