2004: It should say the name of a popular skateboarding brand on it, like DICKIES on the front. I want everyone to know I like DICKIES.

2006: Branding is lame. Novelty shirts are lame. it should be a plain V neck t shirt only, as tight as possible. I really want everyone to see my 6ft1 135lb frame. I can wear this clubbing with my white jeans.

2008: Pretty much as above because nobody bothered to tell me that this is lame af

2012: Wolf t-shirts are ironically cool, says every single person in the greater London area between the age of 23 and 35

2015: The internet told me that t-shirts are lame and every single item of clothing should be an oxford cloth button down shirt, so I took a t-shirt hiatus

2017: crew neck t shirts are back in (they always were, but someone finally told me about it). Now I'm gonna buy t shirts for $80 because the internet said that's basically bare minimum

2021: Apparently I like $5 novelty shirts that make me feel like a 10 year old boy and not a 34 year old man

I never liked v neck so I refused to wear them , i onlybowned 2,button down shirts, rarely had an occasion to wear them

I went through several personality iterations that would have called you lame at various points

but the real lesson here is that I am the lame one

Lol I was about button downs for the loooongest time, and just recently grew tired of them

Turns out turning all my old t shirts into tank tops ended up fitting my aesthetic way better

but the real lesson here is that I am the lame one

i'm sure a lot of people who care about fashion think i'm lame because i'm almost 40 and dress "like a teenager". i also wear cargo shorts and flip flops in nice weather. the trick is to just not care and do what you like.
