-GalacticBass- 10/10/21 2:38:19 AM #1:	Wow, this movie reminded me what superhero movies could actually be. It definitely blows away all of the MCU movies. Batman Begins is a movie that isn't afraid to take itself seriously instead of undercutting every emotional moment with a quippy joke. The story is executed very well and the characters are well written and acted. TDKR has some wackiness but Bruce's arc is epic and I appreciate that Nolan gave Batman a happy ending, rather than cowtowing to fans' ideal version of Batman which is self-flagellating himself into a grave in a backalley. And having revisited the Nolan movies recently, they are shockingly so much better than the MCU as a whole. The levels of stupid topical humour they had to reach in order to tell their stories just doesn't hold a candle versus the technical achievements and the more practical look of the Nolan movies. There's a reason why I hold the first Iron Man in highest regard among those MCU movies. And no, I'm not saying Nolan was perfect. But his trilogy is going to stand out in my mind more than the majority of the MCU. Thank goodness comics exist.
