He should have had no chance at any step in his presidential campaign. He won and then had absolutely no repercussions for attempting a government overthrow. People should be scared. Especially for the next version of him that can count farther than fingers and toes.

Joe Biden won't win because he's too old and he's lost face.

Kamala Harris won't win -- without a chance to build good will -- because she's Black, she's female, and she has no good will. Her presence will galvanize bigots against her without rallying the left behind her. She could build that good will if Biden were to step down, but he won't unless forced to.

Right now, the Democrat party is sitting on its laurels with a flatly spoken "better than Trump" as its rallying cry. Meanwhile, the Republican party is being galvanized in the worst way. Not all Republicans are bigots, hatemongers, or insurrectionists, but right now I don't think you can win with Republicans if you don't fall into one or more of those categories. If they don't get Trump, they'll get De Santis. If they don't get De Santis, they'll get someone even worse.

The only way I see Democrats winning in 2024 is if they get a celebrity candidate.

Honestly depends on his health and opponent. I doubt Biden is going to run again. I assume Harris will run, but I don't know if the "anything is better than Trump" momentum would be enough to help her. Though if Trump's health tanks at all, then it won't really matter.

If the Supreme Court sees the abortion case and rules for Texas there could be a big blue wave.
Republicans, meanwhile, have seen loss after loss this week alone and are still losing out on the mask front, vaccinations, and debt ceiling.

Voter apathy was always going to be a big factor for 2022 and 2024, but it's ultimately going to come down to the candidates. Voters have a short attention span and what's happening now won't matter too much in polling booth.

If the GOP take back control of the Senate and the House there will never be another democratic president because they'll just refuse to certify the results of any election they don't win. This whole voter fraud bullshit is their permanent strategy going forward because they cannot win elections anymore with their base aging out or dying of COVID.
