I heard that you need a PC to connect the capture card to to save the videos I guess? Is there any way to use my Galaxy S21 in lieu of the PC?
Or do I absolutely need a PC for this? Thanks.

The capture card is to basically use your PC as a TV, while at the same time being able to use software available to your PC to record your screen. I doubt your phone would be able to do the same tbh

Not with a Switch but I imagine it would be similar to any other HDMI device.

I've used Windows 10 to capture Switch emulation footage. Works just fine.

Same, I even Kickstartered the Genki. I loved it so much I bought a second one for my wife.

To answer TC, as far as I know there is no way to capture Switch gameplay on any mobile device.

Edit: I was wrong, the video above looks like it could work!
That said, seems expensive after all's said and done, and you'd probably still want to edit on PC if possible.

What's your end goal TC?

I just want to be able to record switch gameplay footage longer than 30 seconds. Like ps4 does basically.
