Its incredible how poorly workplaces are treating their people right now
It only took them the duration of the pandemic to realize they can treat workers like **** because of 1. the staffing shortage and 2. the people who show up to work want and/or need to work

I ran into a co-worker the other day who had left and returned to his job because another job he had required him to work anywhere between 12 and 16 hour days

I would only do something like that if the commute were 5 minutes

"No." Joe Biden's response when asked if the US Afghanistan withdrawal could've been handled better in any way.

I agree with how poorly workplaces treat their workers. For a few months after my coworkers and I returned from furlough due to Covid (I work as a part time driver for a rental car company whose name I won't mention), we were treated as valued and appreciated employees. By the time the one year anniversary hit, however, they started to treat us like dirt again because 1)they had to raise wages; 2)they couldn't get people to do our job (they were ghosted just recently by one applicant); 3) demand accelerated and 4)supply of vehicles to rent declined precipitously. It's become such a toxic work environment that I don't look forward to coming to work anymore since they want to work us at least 10 hours a day every day I'm there.

There's just an ridiculous amount of pressure to deliver a product in an unrealistic amount of time and coworkers who will randomly be "taking a walk" in the middle of the day, or are grossly mismanaged, or not managed at all.

My commute is 0 minutes. It is not as fun as you expect. It has pros and cons.

No, I am not. Based on the work I am doing, I should probably be being paid at least 50k more a year.
