Theres this huge myth about how it brought the FPS genre away from Doom. Just isnt true. Its kind of a nothing burger as a game. Cortana is cool. It had amazing graphics. But its not this juggernaut thing that it seemed like. Jedi Knight did it first. The whole thing. And a million other games. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is nowhere near the quality of the originals or Ocarina. Zelda has yet to make another big jump. But sometimes I see people acting like it was a revolutionary new thing when it was overall a pretty sensible follow up to Oblivion and Fallout 3. BusyGettingLaid 10/07/21 9:00:57 PM #24:	A lot of people saying RDR2, and even though I don't really care for playing it, I can at least appreciate the vast amount of work that went into and the game's attention to detail, animations, etc. From a technical perspective it's super impressive so at least it has that going for it. Yes and that was worth it for all of a game and a half. The second you move a piece, it crumbles. It became about loving Cortana & having a free-for-all Deathmatch. Hence why we got Destiny. Destiny was just as popular with the same kind of people, using the synchronous multiplayer & semi-MMO (minus group RPG mechanics, and generally removing community in favor of matchmatching made around a fully fleshed single-player story) ~ similar to Souls actually a lot of games nowadays, like Nier & Zelda, really need to bend the knee some day soon.
