It's far more likely that it was Arthur Leigh Allen for some of the deaths, and then the rest were copycats that the media faked connection to the Zodiac for. This guy is probably just one of the copycats. The whole Zodiac thing is often thought to just have been a ploy by the media to keep people reading.

We'll never really know anyways, idk why people want to try and crack a secret they can never truly know the answer to

The problem is, no matter how persuasive the evidence might seem at a glance, we'll likely never know for sure whether it's right or complete horseshit. Even stuff like "Well, when I was a kid my grandfather admitted he was [insert notorious unknown person here]" doesn't really close a case, because false confessions are a thing and people lie/misremember stuff all the time.

Odds are, short of someone inventing a time machine and traveling back to investigate famous unsolved murders, we're never really going to know for absolute sure who the Zodiac Killer was.

Because humans really don't like not knowing things. It's one of the driving forces behind our entire history and civilization.
