Even though spouting conspiracy theories has nothing to do with autism.

That's debatable, actually. A common symptom of autism is having difficulty moving beyond first impressions (especially ones that they attach a stronger emotional response to), leading to an unusual amount of particularly stubborn confirmation bias. That means some autistic people are particularly attracted to conspiracy theories that they hear before they learn information that would debunk the theories, and tend to be difficult to dissuade of them once they've accepted them.

Anti-vaxxers sure like playing that card when called out.

I am unsure if you are writing that to get a reaction, but tell me where I gave a conspiracy theory?

I have mentioned I had both doses of vaccine, covid is real etc yet somehow you think I am a anti vaxxer?

It just seems more like as I haven't automatically acted like a certain mindset is the only truth I am treated like a bad person.

I just think theres more to pretty much everything in the world, more than just one answer and so many individual variations.

Autistic here, and I absolutely despise anti-vaxxers.
All autistic people should, as they believe that vaccines cause autism and even if they did, would rather their children die than live with autism.

This doesnt really answer the question as to how you knew it was this particular girl, however. I mean, if she answers Yes to is sick, then you wouldnt let her in, right? If shes lying and it isnt apparent, how do you know?
First person who got sick was the boomer conspiracist, which we were aware of because of our screening procedures ending in the caveat that you are to contact us if you test positive/develop symptoms. Want to guess who the first positive case of the outbreak in the building was when we tested everyone after being alerted? That's right, it was the person she visited:

Gaawa_chan posted...
... we keep records of everyone who comes into the building, screen people for symptoms and such, urge people who develop symptoms and have been in the building to contact us, and trace who has been in contact with who if someone has COVID.

Are you all done cross-examining me? Anyone wanna call me a nazi while they're at it? I get that at work often enough.

Claiming that non-covid deaths are being recorded as covid and demanding to know the "real" cause.

Literally only anit-vaxxers do that.

Yes. Because you are probably lying about that too.

It's almost like not everyone can just up and move wherever and whenever they want to or something.

I am not saying that, I am querying if covid was the actual main reason, if it was a factor (small or large) etc.

It was genuine curiosity and it was taken as anti vax because it didn't line up with a certain mindset.

It's not so much that it didn't line up with a certain mindset as that it does line up with a specific line of reasoning that Covid deniers have been fond of using to diminish the severity of the pandemic, closely enough that it's pretty reasonable to assume that that's what you were trying to do. For what it's worth, I believe you when you say that you're just curious, but I think you need to recognize that the specific way in which you phrased it pushed the buttons of people that have been dealing with Covid deniers saying that exact phrase for nearly two years, including some that have seen people they care about die because of that denial and carelessness. By and large, that's not a question you can ask without upsetting people, and that's got nothing to do with only being allowed to say "approved" things or persecuting dissenters or anything like that. That's got everything to do with how utterly sick people are of working their asses off to contain this thing, only to have those efforts undone by entitled jackasses that don't want to believe there's a problem. People are mad at those jackasses, and people are going to default to being mad at anyone that seems to be acting like one of those jackasses, so try to be aware of when you're doing so.

To answer your question, if Covid is listed as a cause of death, it is accurate to say that the person died of Covid. That's likely not the only factor, given that Covid has a tendency to make people vulnerable to secondary infections and/or cause diseases that can be identified discretely (such as pneumonia), but you can trust that people that are said to have died of Covid are genuine examples of Covid causing deaths that would not have happened otherwise. There's really no value in laypeople considering further nuance than that; the bottom line is that Covid is dangerous and countermeasures are necessary, and the details of the relevant statistics aren't going to change that in any meaningful way.

It's probably worth noting that Covid is now the 2nd most lethal pandemic in modern history, and it's only trailing the Spanish Flu at this point because that one happened in the middle of a war with a lot of other factors conspiring to up its viability.

It's easy to dismiss it if you're young and don't know anyone personally who's contracted it, but that doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

Hell, a friend of mine who had it has said since that there were multiple times during its progression that he was utterly convinced that he was going to die because the symptoms were so bad and he was having so much trouble just breathing. And he was in his mid-40s with no other preexisting health or medical issues. And he's had a few related problems since then, months after his initial infection.

So no, regardless of what stupid people say, people who talk about just how bad it actually is aren't "fearmongering", or part of a vast conspiracy to get everyone vaccinated with nanobots that will monitor your every action and give you 5G wireless reception Most of the data is pretty open and clear if you're intelligent enough to look and not pre-biased to try and distort the facts to support your pre-existing prejudice.

The irony is that it was only called the Spanish Flu in the first place because everyone else lied about how many people were actually dying from it. The Spanish were the only ones accurately reporting, so it seemed like they had it the worst, so everyone named it after them.

Like Covid, it actually started in China.

What really drove it home for me was a coworker mentioning that he had a friend that was one of the ICU cases around here (coworker's mid-40's, guessing his friend is the same) and he was learning how to walk again. People love to toss around the "99% survival rate" thing (saying nothing of how deliberately misleading it is to frame it as a 99% survival rate instead of a 1% mortality rate, nor how outright false that number is), but acting like death is the only possible negative outcome from being infected is really terribly stupid.
