A Lehigh Valley man working in Florida for an electric company has been charged after he attacked his coworkers Saturday morning, killing three, a sheriff said. Shaun Runyon was in custody after a two-hour manhunt, the Polk County Sheriffs Office announced. Runyon has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of aggravated battery. Runyon was working for an electric company that was in Polk County doing contract work for Publix, a grocery store chain, and shared a house near Davenport with other people from the company, Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said at a media briefing Saturday afternoon. Judd said Runyon on Friday got into an argument with a supervisor, and on Saturday morning, returned to the home, where the supervisor also lived, with a baseball bat and knife and attacked several people in the home.

Its a horrific scene, Judd said, saying that there were seven people at home at the time of the attack. He stabbed and beat people inside the residence, Judd said. One victim was beaten to death in his bed while he slept. Judd said another victim was found dead on the homes porch when authorities arrived at the home after a 9:44 a.m. 911 call. A third victim was transported to an area hospital, but died, Judd said. Runyon chased a fourth victim into the street and struck him with the bat. Another man escaped unharmed with his wife and 7-year-old daughter, Judd said. Runyon had fled the scene, leaving a trail of blood but the search did not find him until a call to authorities from a family in Lake Wales, who said Runyon had showed up to their home covered in blood claiming he had been raped. They instructed him to go to a hospital, which he did, and thats where deputies arrested him, although he was not injured, Judd said. He has confessed to our detectives, Judd said. The investigation is underway. He knew all of these victims. Alicia Manautou, a spokesperson for the Polk County Sheriffs Office, later said detectives learned Runyon had been charged by police in Nazareth, Northampton County, on May 21. Those charges, according to the sheriffs office, included strangulation, endangering welfare of a child, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and assault. Court documents in that case list his home address as being in Nazareth. Public records show him as having previous addresses in Lehigh and Monroe counties.

3 coworkers? It seems more like he killed his supervisor and some of his family.
