And played 2 on Xbox. You are right. They were pretty cool at the time. Shenmue 1 was groundbreaking at the time. Nothing like it had ever existed. But they fucked up. Even by game 2 they were making sacrifices. I dont know how many know this but Shenmue 2s story actually includes what was originally planned to be shenmue 3 and 4 as well. Shenmue 1 is just chapter 1. Shenmue 2 is chapters 2 3 and 4. They had already realized they wouldn't be able to do the 16 games. That is why I say they can wrap up the story in 1 game. They have already done multiple chapters in 1 game. I have no idea what chapters are in 3.
