I was never really into it but it always sounded OK to pretty good to me. People always acted like it made their ears bleed it was so bad. That always felt like an over exaggeration. I mean, it felt like people hated on it because everyone else hated on it. That was a pretty popular thing to do on the internet back then.

Thoughts? Is it as awful as everyone said?

Dubstep is the "let's take an electronic melody and insert lots of BRRBRRROOOOWWWZOOOOOBWWOOAAAAAOOOWWWBB" genre.
Kind of like having a pizza pollo topped with mustard-coated chocolate cookies.

for me dubstep songs can go from "this is the worst thing ever" to "damn this is dope"

most of the time though it's alright

Certain songs and situations could really shred and knock it out of the park. I feel like I really liked it in Syndicate, the game that came and went years ago. But most of the time the music is obnoxious

Dubstep was pretty hit-or-miss depending on the artist but looking back, it was just awful timing. The fans definitely added to its awful reputation as at the time normies were getting into EDM, festivals and such.
