The most unbearable nerds were convinced it was going to be a trashy, unplayable downgrade on the same level as Watch Dogs - because a couple of early preview puddles looked a bit nicer than the final product.

Talk about a failed controversy. The eventual Peter Parker redesign was a bigger deal than this horseshit.

I don't feel super bad for the guy, because apparently he was kind of a drain to be around. Like she wasn't really into video games, but video games were this guy's world and she'd feel pressured to play stuff because he wanted her to. But when she was excited about her own hobbies and passions, he'd just write them off and not engage with it. There wasn't an equal give and take.

Apparently his brother was a caring and attentive guy who would check up on her in the wake of the break-up, and they clicked a lot better so they got together. I do think it was a dick move for the brother to move in like that, but as far as her relationship with the first guy goes, he sounds like the absolute worst and the marriage proposal comes across as incredibly tonedeaf and self-serving rather than playing to his intended fiancee's desires.

Like can you imagine him sitting down with Spider-Man and like telling her where to go the entire time, controlling her gameplay experience of a game she probably wouldn't even want to be playing, to get to a digital cinema with his marriage proposal on it? What a shitty proposal.
