High School Football Players, parents and fans in Tennesee led each other in a PRAYER under Friday night lights after school administrators BANNED them from using public religious displays last week!!

But they defied the ban as all athletes, parents, students and fans went on the field at Upperman High School and Stone Memorial High School teams finished their game and got on their knees and thanks GOD in a prayer circle stating they defeated the SATANIST LIBERALS who tried to stop them from believing in almighty God!!

Putnam County School Alum Bob Vick shared this picture of teams uniting in a student led prayer on FB which went viral who said Satan's power was defeated tonight and the threat of legal action to forbid prayer after the game was met with overwhelming support by everyone on the field who led in solidarity and asked God to bless both the Baxter and Stone players for faith and courage.

He referenced a recent letter they got forbidding them to lead in a prayer from the Americans United for Separation of Church and State

A spokesperson for the Putnam County Schools said the school's attorney was notified and instructed all admins to adhere to policies and laws prohibiting them from prayer and to not do it on public school grounds and could force fines if it ocntinues

People can pray individually all they want. Staff cannot, however, use their positions to make students participate in the staff member's religious practices (so no teachers leading class prayers, etc).

Generally I see no issue w students voluntarily doing this.

HOWEVER-
I see how a school might want to avoid this to avoid issues.
if any staff are involved it could be a problem and entangle the school.

if any student feels pressured or bullied into it then it becomes an issue the school has to address.

seems like a can of worms the school is looking to avoid incidents and just ban the students prayer on school property at all.

this is different from a simple student sponsored and run private after school prayer group.

it has elements of both but seems like a can of worms for school administrators

It doesn't really mean much. All it takes is enough people to be in favor of it for all to follow along so they don't get excluded.

I don't see a problem with the staff doing it as long as they arent forcing anyone into it or forcing their religion on children in any other way. There is a difference between being religious and being intolerant even if it does overlap quite a bit.
