Bioware- Anthem, ME: Andromeda, Dragon Age Inquisition, and C&C Generals 2 say otherwise. They're a has been company.

Bethesda- Wolfenstein: Youngblood, Rage 2, Fallout 76 say they're a hit or miss company. Easily the lesser of three evils, but on the same level of shit as an EA.

Inquisition had some great story telling to it though, especially with it's DLC. It's gameplay wasn't the best but it was hardly bad and showed very clear signs that Bioware could make something wonderful. Obviously personal taste comes into enjoying anything though, so opinions may vary.

Andromeda and Anthem I have no idea what the fuck happened though, and is a level of management fuckup beyond colossal.

What was the final nail in the coffin for me was the public "demo" of anthem they released, claiming it was only a portion of the game....turns out it was literally the entire game parading as a demo to deceive consumers, then they had a bunch of timewaster quests so when you bought the game you went over the playtime window before you realize Bioware duped you.

They they promised they'd "fix and finish the game" with free updates, to generate more sales for 2 years, but never followed through outside of a single small content patch.

After that I swore to never buy another Bioware game again.

I liked Inquisition when I played it last year until I got to the fucking ball and had to keep re-equipping my real gear when I went in areas with enemies and all the inventory space problems it created. still haven't finished it lol.

I can't blame you. Bioware fucked up something big with Anthem and I still just don't get how or why, even after reading all the reasonings behind it. I'll still very likely get DA4 when it comes out, along with the new Mass Effect, but no chance of pre ordering their games like I used to.

Bethesda stopped trying and got complacement and lazy. Why make anything else when remastering Skyrim over and over fills their pockets. They have a few gems like Doom 2016.

I think the last good game from Bioware was Origins and that was over 10 years ago. Lot of mismanagement and EA taking over did them no favors

I think Bioware is floundering because their traditional games aren't see as that valuable in EA's eyes. So they keep trying to do other stuff in order to bring in more money and it hasn't really worked since ME3 multiplayer.

EA does seem to be believing in single player games again and the ME Remaster seem to do well so hopefully Bioware feel more confident just...being themselves. Currently it's obvious they don't know what they want to be anymore.

Getting lost isn't a thing that happens to anyone. It's actually better to just randomly walk around and find things.

Preparing for a long journey isn't a concept that really exists.

There is no such thing as a massive hostile army congregating anywhere. They will always be scattered around in outposts and on the road.
