IShall_Run_Amok 09/21/21 12:48:43 PM #3:	Like five of them are good, though, at least by big budget Hollywood adventure filmmaking standards (obviously the best Star Wars isn't going to be as good as the worst Robert Bresson film lol, that's just silly), and all the others (plus Mandalorian, and even the Clone Wars kiddy cartoon) are liked by people. He was just buttering everyone up for Clone Wars by doing.... whatever you call that.... that he did to the EU & multimedia crowd. Star Wars was already popular when Episode 1 came out. Extremely popular. Thats why they made the movie lol. Nobody rediscovered Star Wars. Sorry. Attack of the Clones is basically a B-Movie Revenge of the Sith is an exploitation flick A New Hope is a classic... so is RotJ. Empire is obviously the one. but for the sequels? TFA rocks. For all its problems, it achieved its goal which was to bring Star Wars back closer to the original formula before the ever-present ninja Jedi took over. Doesnt matter if the movie is that great, in the end, Rogue One, Mando, Obi-Wan, Solo, and a lot of great things are happening as a result of that direction. TLJ just said whatever to hell with it and actually filmed a movie that satisfied exactly what both sides of the demographic wanted. It is the ultimate divisive experiment. ROS was amazing. JJ got to film a perfectly good movie, make up for whatever the hell happened with Ford in TFA, and nobody noticed because they brought back Palpatine somehow LOL. Even the extensive criticisms and analysis about the final battle lasted all of 5 minutes before people went back to talk about the Emperor. Any other comment about the movie is grazed over like a spec on the hull. The new movies needs to age. Over time, we see the sequels more and more favorably. All the original Star Wars fans dropped off AGES ago. Like mid-80s. To us, its retro and thats why its cool. I dont hate it, but its definitely the least Star Wars-feeling movie to me and Im legitimately baffled that so many people go nuts for it.
