Any sort of music-focused anime that has characters singing but doesn't dub the songs along with the dialogue is a bad dub IMO, because characters switching from speaking English to singing Japanese is stupid and makes no sense. I'm fine with OP's, ED's, and background insert songs being left in Japanese, but if it's characters on-screen doing the singing, then that's part of the show's dialogue and should absolutely be dubbed. Unfortunately, the only recent music anime that I've seen go that extra mile and dub the songs too (though it took waiting an extra year for the blu-ray release) is Zombie Land Saga, but it's one of my favorite dubs of all time as a result of that extra effort. They are all power fantasies (yes even re:zero) but that is the reason why i watch or check out their source material.
