Xethuminra 09/19/21 8:40:14 PM #20:	Predator has an amazing monster and Arnie is so impressive that hes more than perfect to go toe to toe against it. Its arguably the best movie with Arnold Schwarzenegger in it. Terminator 1 & 2 did seed a massive section of the foundation for movie culture for decades to follow. Theyre still a powerful influence today. In terms of special effects, and badass dudes in black leather jackets with sunglasses.... Terminator takes the cake for the time. It also has a nice set of continuous, overlapping time loops as a franchise. Sarah Connor is a pretty big inspiration. The imagery of the future war was powerful too. The whole concept of a monster villain hiding as a normal person in plain sight makes Terminator quite important for the time. Got lots of attention. Hehe. It just reaches so far beyond its Twlight Zone roots in T2, I tend to want to place the first film on a higher pedestal..... Less sticky, more simple. Like Predator. Alien lands in the jungle. End of story. In T2, theres this kid now, and the Terminators a good guy, and they just like kill Dyson, and then you got the music video CGI1000 monster, and its like... more family-oriented.... But it does it all perfectly. XD T2 is an amazing movie. Its just lacking the grit, and this is a persist issue I take with a number of Camerons later films.... He just does this like Spielberg thing and its just hit and miss and I feel like they could push the cast harder lol.
