Arranacar; Hueco Mundo; and Fake Karakura town arc were all over the place

• Espada are a joke; literally their #1 guy (Stark) got beat but a guy who didn't even go bankai
• Yammy literally went I'm strongest guys and then jobbed off screen to Kenpachi and Byakuya who were having some issues with #5 and #6
• Ichigo goes from not being able to do anything to Aizen while hollowified to doing some mental training then transcending both soul reaper and hollows and Aizen without needing to hollow mask up; dude didn't even need to lose his soul reaper powers to win tbh
• Rukia beats espada #9 with just her shikai lmao
• General lack of explanation for many things
• Gin just goes welp Aizen time to betray you oh shit I lost!!!
• Vizards (Visoreds) are a joke too
• No one ever uses their bankais until they like lose an arm or are injured to 10% of their max strength
• The grey hair visored went bankai and then loses off screen to the guy that screams lmao

Finishing up this next arc and it's looking to be meh as well

But it had Ulquiorra so that's a plus.

I don't have a lot of faith that the sequel anime will be any better since it was apparently a fucking mess in the manga as well

The manga was indeed a fucking mess. It was at the point I could read an entire chapter in like a minute. All over the place, and I still have no idea what the fuck happened in most of it.

Thats the Soul Society arc dude. Shinigami live in Soul Society and thats where Rukia was taken prisoner

I dont watch a lot of anime, but bleach was the one that convinced me that every shonen follows the same trope. Train, fight current arc big bad, train again and so on.

And also, no, One Piece is the best of the big 3. Because Oda is the only one who knows how to write a compelling story

"A guy" is a pretty disrespectful way to refer to the shinigami who became the head captain a bit later in the story. He's clearly a very powerful character.

That said, I think soul society is great but hueco mundo is the real peak.

Yeah, the arc where Aizen is revealed to be a bad guy is the peak. The arc right after that (Bount?) is grade-A trash, and most of what followed wasn't any better. Maybe there were a collection of cool moments throughout, but as an entire arc? Naw. I wonder if, when the final arc is animated, they'll expand things so it won't have such a rushed ending.

I really hope so. The manga ended years ago. There has been plenty of time to revise the final arc a bit. At least make it so the final fight is not so anticlimactic.

Yeah Ichigo attacking Aizen with his hero music playing and Aizen just blocking it with his finger and stopping the music is probably obe of the most hype scenes in anime.

Then after that it's downhill and never recovers

After the Soul Society Arc, we got the Full Bringers aka the Fail Bringers Arc, then we got the last arc. Started out strong but ended up being a cluster fuck.

Naruto sucks absolute shit dude. Its boring as fuck and there's only a handful of good fights. Naruto spends most of the time training and then getting asspull new power ups

Like i recently rewatched Naruto and after the Chunin exams its just absolute shit with a few (VERY few) cool fights/moments sprinkled in.

Akatsuki is the biggest tease and after a handful of cool fights involving them the show goes to absolute shit, and even ignoring filler the show is just so fucking boring and bloated. I will never understand why it got so popular.

Manga spoilers The Vandenreich absolutely wreck the Shinigami and Soul Society early in the TYBW Arc basically all the heroes need massive power ups to stand a chance

Last arc is a mixed bag of good and bad but overall it's better than Fake Karakura Town Arc or however you spell it

Hopefully the anime fleshes it out because despite the arc being super long a lot fights are rushed due to Kubo's health and deadlines Ichigo barely does anything during the majority of the arc lol

After Soul Society there should have been a spinoff series featuring the 'guest star' that subbed in for Ichigo for a few moments in each arc. He had more character and star power than the actual MC.

Also more anime issue, but I would say like 60-80% of the episodes only had about ~13-15 minutes of actual new content. The intro then recap takes up ~5-6 minutes for a crapload of episodes then the end theme + preview + extra takes up the last 4-5 minutes of the episode.

I feel like I've brought this up before but my biggest complaint about Bleach was the introduction of so many fucking characters all at the same time and we were supposed to give a shit who most of them were. Like, I'm barely getting to know Ichigo's classmate friends and yall give 13 captains and their lieutenants for me to readily relate to?

I actually liked the gotei 13 characters... What I could have done without was his classmates. Once we get past the Aizen arc that's when I feel it went too far; IMO he should have just done that arc better and let it end once Aizen was defeated.

Yeah, the Arrancar arc was just a worse version of the Soul Society arc, with a rehashed plot and worse pacing, compounded on by the anime adapting it so slowly. The only other arc that's as entertaining as the Soul Society arc was the last one, and even that had a rushed ending.

So basically the captains go to hell after they die? Lol damn soul society is crappy, you die as a human and get reincarnated into the poor slums outside soul society and if you're a super strong captain you have to go to hell after serving and doing "good"

They should've just done without that tbh

^Technically, that wasn't from the last arc, but from the 20th anniversary special chapter that came out last month. Who knows if it's ever going to be followed up on, though, unless they let Kubo release more chapters.

But yeah, the Soul Society is trash. (Well, the Japanese branch is, anyway.)

Eh. I would say Intro Arc > Soul Society by just a bit. The first bit was the only part of the series that had a unique style and sense of identity. Soul Society was good but it was ultimately a pretty generic battle shounen arc. After Soul Society it was absolute trash though.
