That's called being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Peter doesn't want them to become targets which they immediately become once the villain figures out who Spider-Man is.

Someone finding out Peter's real name puts them in danger regardless. Any danger from family/friends knowing is accidentally spilling the beans that they know Spider-Man's identity and then being probed for info.

...except in Iron Man 2 and Iron Man 3 where Stark was attacked as a civilian. And in the comics where he's attacked in the same way.
