I don't agree with it at all, but I can see the "mind set" in people being anti-vax. They think it is unsafe are they are guinea pigs or something. They are super but at least they can point to a reason. What is the reason that people are violently anti mask.

i feel like they aren't so much fighting the mask itself, but they're fighting being told to wear one. it's like how if you tell a little kid to do something, it doesn't matter what it is or how beneficial it will be to the kid, the kid will resist and fight it on the general principle of "nobody tells ME what to do because i'm a big boy!!". i swear, the same people would self suffocate if the government told them to breathe.

They don't want to have to put up with the inconvenience of wearing one, and more importantly, they don't want to accept the reality that their precious little lives can be disrupted by a non-1st-world problem like a global pandemic. Every other reason / excuse is surface-level deflection and self-delusion.

That's been my experience too. I often see the argument of the government is trying to see what they can get away with. First is you have to wear masks and eventually it leads to them taking your guns somehow. Because if you listen to one thing the government tells you you'll listen to everything they tell you, because that makes sense.

But also there's people who say masks don't work or they're actually harmful to your health.

The most common complaint I hear is "the masks don't actually do anything"

They assume that they won't get sick, and if they do it won't be worse then something else they might've gotten anyways like strep throat or the flu.

It's kinda similar to people who won't see a doctor until after they need one because they figured having this or that symptom is probably just some common, benign ailment no matter how obvious or painful.
