I'm at the demo area now. Might stay here and grind a few chain combos for a bit. Heard Law can get some skill grids from the farming as well so will do a bit of that.

I can't figure out Law. All of his artes seem ridiculously unsafe, and he seems to die very easily
Whirlwind Snap is a very safe poke while you're fishing for a break, Dragon Shot is functionally an eject button and if shit goes sideways you can always cancel *anything* into a boost strike in a pinch. It helps enormously to run Kisara with an aggro up accessory so you ever need to worry about dodging hits from a single enemy.

Post-fifth realm dungeons down. Nice to have some short, straightforward dungeons out of the way while digging into plot.

I just did the Dohalim fight and my main obstacle was Kisara (AI) dying a ton. Is there a way to make her die less? Some setting I should use?

Also I gotta say, the way she cried there was pretty obnoxious...

The single best party survivability trick in this game is to create a strategy that tells the party to do absolutely nothing and switch to it whenever you see a big attack coming and/or the boss pops OL. It's pretty lame but the level of commitment on attacks in this game means the AI will facetank anything and everything if they're trying to fight. If they're standing still they will dodge literally everything that can possibly be dodged. (Kisara is actually an exception to this since she has no ground dodge, but she'll continue holding guard in this state so she shouldn't take any serious damage.)

I had Berseria on the toughest difficulty (or close to it) and it made relying on AIs a questionable-at-best strategy. It's a consistent problem with these kinds of games that babysitting the AI can become a chore when you start facing strong enemies. My strategy for the fight against Artorias and Laphicet was to set their AI to stay as far away from me as possible, then use Velvet to beat Enemy 2 into the corner and burst them down before Enemy 1 wiped my three allies and/or burned through my stash of healing items.

Then there was the time that I lost three members to the final Shigure fight and AI Rokurou almost solo'd him. Thought that was fitting.
