It's possible an abortion may cause damage to the uterus, and as such could cause increased risks of complications for getting pregnant and giving birth. I'm pretty sure it's a really low rate though I haven't bothered to check on the subject in awhile.

I think that misinformation is based on old methods of abortions. Modern day procedures and medicine based abortions are safe. Old "coat hanger" or other less civilized procedures could have caused damage.

Isn't there always a risk with abortions? I mean, even circumcision kills people. Routine surgery can kill people. You try to avoid things like this through alternative methods and utilize it as a last resort when all else fails.

I mean, if abortion is so safe then why isn't it the first thing recommended to prevent pregnancy? Probably because contraceptives are generally easier and safer to use.

I would think they would have to severely fuck up to prevent a future pregnancy. But, I'm not positive.

Surgeons mess up routine surgeries all the time. It doesn't seem unreasonable that abortion could pose a similar risk. It is generally recommended that you do what you can to avoid surgery. Stands to reason that you should do what you can to avoid abortion.

I mean, I certainly still think the option should be there, but you should still do all you can to avoid it.
