I am currently playing Fallout 4 (curse the loading times!!!!!!)

and while I was shooting I got a weird memory... collecting different ammo types so I can crawl around and shoot things.

At first I thought it was Pubg, but that didn't pan out.

Then I remembered it... it was Fallen Earth, with its insanely good crafting system. It's basically the Fallout MMO... only the servers came down last year (or maybe the year before that)

So it's a defunct game that I kinda miss

That said, sometimes you'll get private servers popping up if there's enough demand. Those can be kind of hit or miss, but generally it at least gives you a chance to enjoy the game again.

It is the type of MMO where you mostly play by yourself anyways...

In that case, you might even be able to set up a private server yourself and just enjoy playing it alone. It might be worth looking into, if you really want to play the game.

Most people either can't or won't though, so it's more or less the same as saying it's functionally defunct.
