Can't remember if this has ever happened to me

I'm super paranoid at save screens and menus, though

One time I let the neighbors borrow my copy of SMRPG and they erased the main save I had on there. Don't remember if I had completed it or not.

Yeah my 100% GTA SA file. I accidentally saved over it with a file I used cheats and action replay... sad

More often than anything else it's corrupted memory bullshit that forces you to format.

Yeah lost tons of data on game from a corrupted 1024 block GCN memory card.

Included but not limited to a 800+ hours Phantasy Star Online Episode 1&2 save file, and other heartbreakers like a 100% complete F-zero GX file, and 100% all characters max level Skies of Arcadia Legends file.

Plus a ton of other save files, but those were the most painful to lose.

I lost a ogre battle save where I got an undead ring as a random city liberation loot. I'm still mad about it.

I fucked up and accidentally deleted one of my main Fallout New Vegas files. That sucked.

And when I was little, my brother unknowingly deleted my Pokmon Blue file, but I wasnt too far in.

Happened to me when playing Dragon Age Origins. My PC crashed and I had to end up reformatting. I was really enjoying the game, as well. I lost the will to play it.

However once I'm finished on my Mass Effect LE playthrough, I'm finally going back to DA:O.

Just happened recently actually when I transferred from PS4 to PS5. I planned on finally beating Frigid Outskirts in DaS2 but my profile that was in Elyium Loyce was gone. For some reason only one of my save files for DaS2 was not erased.

I recently had to erase the file of a game I put dozens of hours into because it wouldn't stop crashing on me

Also I remember in Tomb Raider Chronicles I was in the segment with the haunted castle and there was this super difficult jump and I accidentally saved instead of loaded when I failed so every time I tried to load it was Lara screaming and then a deep thud ...

My Timesplitters 2 save on my memory card got wiped once. It was tragic; I had built a whole arena I called the Tower of Power.

Batteries died pretty often on Pokmon Crystal.

Yeah, my 150hr Skyrim save with all the major quests and guilds completed got corrupted. I haven't really played it since >_>
