Yeah, lack of a proper virtual console is baffling. Unless licensing really makes it not profitable, there should be no reason not to pump games out the ass. I feel like it should take so little effort that selling 100 copies of any game would recoup the cost.

The fact that I can't play old school Fire Emblem games on the Switch is just monumentally upsetting to me. There's no reason it should be like that other than that Nintendo doesn't want competition for Three Houses, so fuck preservation.

All first party companies go shitty when they're succeeding too much.

I remember buying games on the VC for under $1 on Wii U.

Oh and Metroid Prime Trilogy for something crazy like $13.

All three are at their best when they're struggling and it's sad as fuck. It's why Xbox is currently the best with this sort of stuff. It's a shame the initiative is all gone when they dominate and Switch isn't going to get any strong competition anytime soon.

I definitely agree about the VC tho. We're not gonna get shit because 3rd party companies aren't down with Nintendo leasing their games out. Wii U's VC was miles better
