I got pulled over the other day cos I "Fit the description of someone they were looking for". I provided my ID and insurance info and the cops let me on my way after they looked the info up. The cop who approached my door wasnt aggressive and the conversation seemed chill.

It didnt hit me until after i drove off that I was pulled over based on my appearance.

No way to really know. Maybe you really did fit the same description of someone they were looking for, or maybe they are just pieces of shit.

Nowadays I cant say Id bet money on the former.

Ive been stopped by cops just cause I happened to be in the area of a crime that just happened and I dressed like a hoodlum. They didnt have a description of the suspect so they just made assumptions. They where kinda dickish in our interaction but nothing severe.

But let's face it when it comes to people of color you have to be a lot more detailed in a description for it to be of great help. I get descriptions of black people all the time in prison and I'm usually like.. Well that narrows it down to 5 guys in here If just one dorm like 50 if the whole unit. I mean dumb ass descriptions like black guy with long dreads and a goatee. Thats easily 50-100 guys on the unit.

I kept bringing an officer the wrong guy once cause he told me to get the guy who had long dreads a goatee and wore glasses. We he 4 in there that fit that description.

Are you a cop? If so, doesn't that sorta make you think you can do more good by fighting against the system than being part of it?

First and foremost, being a police officer is a job that requires you to make judgement calls on a regular basis and the only person who can answer whether or not they're profiling people are police officers themselves.

Mhm, and the endless amount of evidence that show that most police in America can torture and murder minorities all they want without spending a day in jail most of the time.

It's a great job if you wanna join a gang. Plus you get health insurance. Plus there's not a single tv show that actually paints your organization as mass murderers and rapists with barely checked power.

From what I can tell in a million videos, the cops like to pull over crazy people. Maybe you look crazy.

cops doing their job. that's how they find criminals. do you think criminals walk around with signs saying "hey here I am! Look at me I did it!.

That what you posted seems like a cop doing his job. Pulling the race card when race is irrelevant makes it much harder for those who are actually racially profiled.

As far as me being white I had super baggy clothes (jeans and hoodie) that where pretty ratty in condition a beanie

At the very least I looked like a pothead (which I was at the time)

Didn't help I was with my friend who the cops had been trying to bust for a while but they always failed

Youve never interacted with US police. Theyre criminal organizations that do whatever they want with no accountability. Its why the Chauvin verdict was such big news. Even with so much overwhelming evidence there was still an expectation that he might face no consequences for murder.

Of course its a generalization. Not all people who dress like that are bad. But people with a criminal nature are more prone to super baggy clothing. There is a reason for that. Easier to conceal stuff.

US cops lie constantly, no way to know if they were even looking for someone in particular

Its difficult to really express how corrupt they are unless youve dealt with them
