There are now planets with cities, economies, trade, etc.

You can also build entire cities on planets using a SimCity-style grid-based system, including appointing governors, setting taxes, regulating trade, etc. These cities can establish trade routes / portals with other players' cities.



If your cities are in dangerous star systems, you have to build defenses too.

I might try to get back into this game. I started one day, repaired my ship, flew to an ice planet, started to build my base, realized the inventory and amount of materials I had for being only two hours into the game was way too overwhelming and quit .

I actually really want to like Spore. The exploring, trading, and especially the language system and ruins all look so cool.

But oh my god the crafting and survival elements. I can't stand them. I don't want minecraft in space.

I think it was down to $10 when I picked it up a few years ago. Regretfully, gave it to my niece, so gonna have to get another copy sometime. Whatwith the pet-taming system and this new city-building feature, I want to give it a try >_>

I was seeing "advice" on literally just going around to space stations to buy all the materials you need so it was really buy/sell a ton of shit and then build.

It felt like actual explorations an afterthought. Funny cause its fun to run around but thats not very productive.

yep that was the price. i missed the train when i started purchasing some games on sale. had to wait till no mans sky appeared again (took less than a month).

it was when i planned to buy a few ps5 games.

The difference is that NMS released as like a barren field. It was empty, but it was something they could import soil and start growing stuff in.

CP2077 on the other hand was built as a decrepit skyscraper. They'd have to tear it down and replace it with something else to bring it closer to what it was promised to be originally. I just don't think it's feasible.
