Legato-and-Vash 09/01/21 9:26:35 AM #2:	I went 11 years without going to the dentist. Starting from high school since my mom at some point couldn't afford it anymore and then me being poor and not having insurance in college. The dentist said surprisingly it wasn't as bad as they'd think having gone 11 years. Doesn't mean he isn't brushing if he has cavities TC, it's best not to be nervous(just try and keep in mind that the end goal will make life much more enjoyable). I had something similar, years ago. The process sucks, but it's definitely for the best. If you haven't been in that long they are likely to suggest a deep cleaning as well. Just get in there and get everything taken care of. I have had 2 root canals. They aren't bad, just takes a long time. If the endodontist is worth anything you will be so numbed up that you won't feel a thing. I was extremely nervous for my first, as I had such bad tooth pain that I couldn't even sleep. I practically feel asleep in the chair due to the pain finally being numbed. Edit- I forgot about the cost of a root canal. Getting them filled wasn't painful or anything, just time consuming and not good on the wallet (even with insurance). Genetics are a huge factor in tooth health too. My girlfriend went a similar duration without going and she had no cavities. I do have 9 cavities that need filling, which is a lot, but i expected several root canals, so honestly I consider it a win.
