Started off really fun and cute. Got way too impressed with itself toward the end of season 2 and rapidly deteriorated into shipping wars and then complete, utter nonsense. Dropped it somewhere in season 3 and I hear it somehow only got worse from there.

I enjoyed the full series. The first season starts a little bit too "lolrandom penguin spork" at times but it really picks up as the creator is given more freedom and it feels less like the studio was interfering

This is the one modern "big cartoon hit" that seemed to completely drop the ball, from what I understand. It's still on my to watch list.

I enjoyed the show overall, but it is correct to say that the ending sucked big-time.

The consensus is that it's very good until just after the halfway point, the second episode of season 3, at which point it becomes horrible.
