Unskippable cutscenes. For the most part they're gone, but there's still games here and there that incorporate them.

For something more common, invisible walls. Unless said invisible walls are placed in an area that shouldn't be accessible unless someone glitches their way to said areas, they shouldn't exist. If you want to restrict players to a certain area either make the terrain impassable/have actual walls that block progress, or if it's something like in the ocean have some kind of enemy with an instant kill attack them once they go too far out into the water.

Super Open world games. I get wanting the game to feel massive, but most of the time it just leaves it feeling dead. MGS5 and FFXV are perfect examples of this. Visually great looking games, but the world itself is just dead. I'm not saying you shouldn't make the game big, but increase mob density so it feels populated.

Another one that annoys me are series with a yearly release. Call of Duty, WWE 2K. As someone who has done a minor bit of game development, games take longer than a year to create. Bug testing alone takes between 6 and 12 months, and even then there is no guarantee that you'll get all of them. Having a game come out every 3-4 years is fine, as it gives time for development and enough change so it isn't just a new layer of paint.

I don't mind patches, as long as its to fix something that is game breaking that they may have missed. But on release the game should be as polished as much as possible.

impossible these days. Games have strict deadlines, plus your dealing with newer tech unlike the SNES days where things were much easier to deal with.
