I'm watching RAGE, like I said in my Shaft topic. It's an Australian music video program that's been running for decades, I remember watching it when I was in primary school.

I have a funny story about On Melancholy Hill that would get me modded, but it involves staying up until 5am to watch the music video on RAGE for the first time because it was the last music video scheduled for the night.

Just watched Just by Radiohead. It was pretty good! I get that the point of the music video is probably that we don't know what the guy said to make everyone else lie down on the pavement with him, on an artistic level, but I'd still like to see what the band had to say.

Just saw the Buddy Holly music video right after that. I love how Al reprised his role from Happy Days.

The bloke from CHVURCHES just preambled about the Smashing Pumpkins before chucking on Today.

I was never super into Smashing Pumpkins, but the older I get, the more the distorted guitars and shit make sense to me. I'm a big Bowie/Elton sort of guy, love The Mountain Goats and Counting Crows and stuff, but I got a Foo Fighters kick later in life when Everlong finally clicked. A lot of music from around the era began clicking after that.

Cool music video I didn't know if the first passenger was a guy or a girl, it was cool. Poor Billy Corgan.

Miss World by Hole came on and I was like "the fuck, is that Courtney Love" before the credit came up, haha

Followed directly by heart-shaped box, for all you guys who think Courtney Love had Kurt killed.

Interesting music video, didn't really sink in too much. Felt kinda weird-for-weird's-sake, y'know.

Current MV is Only Happy When It Rains by Garbage. I don't mind Garbage, and it has that distorted guitar like the last few songs, but the MV is mostly then being weird and edgy and trashing the place. Kinda prefer Not Your Kind of People, if only because I'm a Metal Gear stan haha

They just put Song 2 by Blur on. idk if it's ironic or serious.

I like Blur. This is the only popular song of theirs to permeate in Australia, it was a jock jam they'd play at football games and stuff, and I hate it.

I love everything about this MV. The Evil Dead pastiche, the punk shit with the giant hand, and the whole resolution involving waking Dave Grohl up and getting him in the girl's dream. 10/10 music video.

It had some cool imagery, and I like how the sun's coming up at the end. No hate for th Deftones, I just mostly caught their performances.

It's Where the Wild Roses Grow. Was hoping for The Ship Song, that's my favorite Nick Cave song.

Jesus, the MV for Where The Wild Roses Grow is really good. I dunno if this won a MTV award for the song or MV, but either way it's an excellent song and MV.

I really like Murder Ballads, but there's only so much of that song you can listen to before it begins to wear off. I'm glad I had the incentive to watch the MV.

Next up is Hurt by Johnny Cash. Gonna stop typing and watch. There's a lot of history happening, and a lot of context.

Johnny Cash and David Bowie are two artists with some of the best songs about death under their belt in music history. Like jeez.
