When I was a kid I was always jealous of people who were 'moved by the spirit to speak in tongues' or similar stuff since god never talked to me. Then when I was an edgy teenage atheist I thought they were just making it up intentionally. But the past couple years I've had really intense spiritual sensations that feel like god comforting me or telling me what to do (e.g., sensations of being surrounded by angels while I'm sitting in my bathroom, visions of my loved ones who are far away, sudden feelings of certainty about a course of action or the nature of reality). And choosing to believe them has generally led me to a better place in my life than I was before

I still have no idea if god is real, but at least now I know not everybody is faking it

yeah definitely. drugs are an important part of tons of spiritual belief systems.

ive never had any of these experiences while im high, but all my religious experiences were after the first time i took acid. so i think the way it opened up my mind played a role

I went to a Catholic elementary school (even though my family isn't Catholic lol). During our Christmas concert in grade 5, which were always held in the Catholic church down the street from the school, a kid in my class passed out on stage and was bleeding from his nose while unconscious laying on the stage. Then a girl in the front row puked on his unconscious body.

wow!

one time in my high school psychology class I passed out sympathetically after my friend passed out. IIRC we were watching some kind of video that was disturbing for him. it was really weird, i just got very upset thinking about him not being ok and then before i knew it i passed out too. I didn't throw up or anything though

i had a crush on him that i was totally unwilling to accept at the time, too. so maybe that contributed

I cant recommend float spas enough if anyone wants to have transformative experience. Its like a waking lucid dream.
