Last year I was in charge of enforcing my store's mask mandate for a few months. I only ever saw one or two asian people try to come in without a mask, and it was only because they'd forgotten, and when I reminded them, they went to their car to get it.

Thats why Asia handles their pandemics so well, theyre diligent and wear masks to protect others. They have a higher respect for their elders as well

I see more white folks than black or Hispanic folks without masks here in ms. Hispanic folks seem to wear them the most from what I've seen. But there are plenty of every race that don't here. Also depends on what store it is. Dollar general it's pretty rare to see white folks with a mask. Walmart though I'd say bout half of them wear them

I'm vaccinated, I'm white. Mask wearing is over for me now unless the place of business I enter requires it (which I respect, it's a private business).

That's supposed to be the point of the vaccine. If you do get the unlikely breathrough infection it will almost certainly be mild symptoms.

If you choose to not get vaccinated that isn't my problem, good luck in the Darwin Award sweepstakes.

Do you have a source for "it's likely that unmasked people are vaccinated" beyond CE? I'm sure you know that we are not an accurate sample size... AND that lot of zealous anti maskers tend to also be anti vax.

In my anecdotal experience, almost all the people not wearing masks and promoting anti vax stuff are white . Like 80-90%

Both in person and online.

Black people, Indians and South East Asians all either do it or don't shout about not doing it.

Every immigrant I know (Mostly polish and Bulgarian) wears masks.

I'm in the UK not the US for the record.

One Indian Couple promoted anti vax nonsense and one black African woman shouted about God being the cure not medicine. But they're pissing in the wind compared to most anti vaxxer stuff i hear

I know its anecdotal, I don't know what the figures are here (if there are any)

In general the nicest most kind and pleasant people here tend to be immigrants.

The point of a mask isn't to protect yourself. It's to protect others. Because you could still be able to spread it without actually getting sick, and because you weren't using a mask suddenly you got a relative sick and now they're dead.

That's also how we end up with mutations that the vaccine can't treat.
