Interestingly, it isnt actually against Islam to eat pork if you 1. are desperate (i.e. theres no other food to eat) or 2. didnt know (as in the cases here where people eating the food may not be able to read English as she says).

I've seen so many excuses made for it over the past two decades, from people who are quick to criticise Christianity on the basis that there are awful things in the Bible as well as the Qur'an, as if that's a valid argument when one has (for the most part) modernised and the other hasn't.

These people's quickness to insult Christianity is just another strain of something I like to call "take-that-daddyism", similar to getting your nose pierced or dying your hair blue.

the ones who criticize Christianity do so because they can without severe repercussions, at least for the majority part.

whereas criticizing Islam in many notable cases can get you severely hurt, maimed or killed. Thats not to say many people dont call Islam out at times.

why Christianity still gets as much flak as it does is pretty ridiculous. As you said its modernized more than any other major religion as far as I know.

I wonder why she took that pic instead of trying to get footage of the soldiers handing the food out.

The reason why I say that is because I remember when they handed out MREs they gave them to us out of a box that contained random meals and we would barter with one another to trade for meals we actually wanted. Some people got stuck with vegetarian meals who werent even vegetarian. Theres a legitimate possibility that the soldiers were tossing out MREs to the afghans without actually reading what each individual MRE was serving, resulting in many people getting anything from pork, to vegetarian meals, to the infamous mcrib parody.

Theres also the possibility that they were separating pork MREs for a while and have started running out of non pork MREs and were forced to (either directly by someones decision, or indirectly because of the circumstances) stop being picky and hand the people whatever was available.

Im not saying that its absolutely impossible for a soldier to have made a conscious decision to start handing out pork, actually it CERTAINLY IS possible, but what Im saying is that there are multiple possible explanations as well and well never know because all we have is one persons story.

You see soldiers throwing MRE's to Afghan civilians. Tellingly you can't see what rations they are.
Then right at the end of the video they splice in the Instagram post with photo as if it's continuation of the footage they used(which it isn't)
The whole thing smells of anti American bullshit propaganda which is the TC's speciality.
It's amazing to me that you can be modded on here for constantly shitting on other countries,cultures and religions.

Islam is the official state religion of Afghanistan, with approximately 99.7% of the Afghan population being Muslim. Roughly 90% practice Sunni Islam, while around 10% are Shias. Most Shians belong to the Twelver branch and only a smaller number follow Ismailism.

USAID does not ship pork products into pork restricted countries. They follow UN and WHO guidlines. There is literally a list of them and the warehouses storing pork containing products and kosher and halal products are many yards/meters apart.

This is not the first rodeo on providing aid to a Muslim country, The same rumors came up then (Balkans, Somalia, Iraq), were investigated and discredited.

Need way more confirmation. This is Chinese/Pakistani propaganda otherwise.
