Somewhat yes but a lot of types of bullying are not fully understood or properly recognized by adults, I dont know that its something that can be eliminated completely

and as tragic as it is that so many are badly damaged or end their lives over bullying, I think there are also some people who go through unfair and hurtful things in life, but it forces their mind to adapt in some ways that often give them difficulty in just being a normal functional person, but can also allow them to have an openness and sensitivity to the world and life that some people never experience, and I think that at least is an unintentional positive effect that can come out of something awful and mean.

Human beings are complicated things. We still have a lot of stuff to learn about how we be

Bullying is less open than it used to be. A lot of bullying happens online. Bullies didn't have that option before.

This "behind the scenes" style of bullying is a huge problem at my school, so much that when us teachers return next week, one full afternoon has already been booked in a seminar for our entire staff on how to combat it.

High school. And bullying definitely is most common in the middle school years. It's mainly a problem for our grade 9 kids each year.

It's because middle school kids are literally demons. Like 95% of them. They're just terrible beings.

maybe you're right. Do you think most of that 95% grow out of it and become successful adults? can you say?

Yeah, my coworkers are definitely more pleasant than my classmates were. I'm definitely more pleasant than I was at that age.

Probably not. A lot of bullying is not direct bullying.
When I was in high school (2004-2008) people saw me as both the "school shooter kid" and "poor kid", the school shooter thing was pretty stupid, but I could understand why people would think that but you can't stop social pressure from being poor.
Plus there was a lot of bullying because x wasn't in y clique. Kind of like what PotD still does sometimes.

Emotions are really high among kids that are starting to go through puberty. There are virtually no kids in middle school that aren't anxious and insecure. Many kids are self conscious about things they're going through, either physically or mentally/emotionally, so they lash out at others.

That's my guess, at least. From my time working with middle school kids, I noticed that boys tend to bully other boys that they see as weak (low risk target? Outlet for expressing their own insecurities? I have no idea.). Girls tend to bully girls over physical attributes (acne was a big one) or due to attention that their target is getting that they're jealous of (i.e. fighting over a boy).

This can't really be true, like sure a good chunk of kids at that age are but not everyone can be outcasts

Popular kids that think school was the best time of their life didn't have to deal with that shit otherwise they wouldn't think school was so great

When I was in school, bullies got detention and went to the office. What do they do now? Shoot them?

When I was in school if it was physical and you tried defending yourseld in any manner rather than just curl up im a ball and let them you both got suspended.

If it wasnt physical it just got ignored.

Though I saw a funny case once where a dude got a bully in trouble despite this time he didnt do anything. He walked up beside him in the hall and then threw himself face first into the lockers turned around and looked at thr guy and screamed "what the fuck man!?" Admin guy saw the tail end of it and pulled the bully to the principals office
