How many world's first does CE have?

Yes, but only in the loosest sense. I used to shoot for the fastest time on some of the Mario Maker levels I liked playing. I held a few records for a little bit, but never on any of the super-popular levels.

I've dabbled in time trials for BL2 raid bosses. I discovered the grog/fist combo for Salvador.

Nah never. Saw clips of ratchet and clank 1 to 3 speedrun and im like wtf.never realized ratchet had fast movement options. Looks too tough to try out for me

Wait actually i lied. I tried to do some of the tech last year but didnt have the drive to perfect them.

Pretty much only Metroid and RE games.

A little bit. I've always loved watching speedruns of games.

When Shadow Complex came out on XBox Live Arcade I got into the speedrunning scene for a couple months on that. I was one of the better runners of the game at the time, but I think the highest I ever managed on the leaderboard was like 5th or 6th. I didn't have enough time to dedicate to it in order to get the world record, but I was pretty active with the theory-crafting that was going on.

I tried once in final fantasy 7. Took over 14 hours. At the time I did this it was just a little short of the world record, though I used a game shark so it wasn't a legit speed run.

Not sure why I tried, I normally like to take my sweat ass time playing games and do every thing there is to do.

I've learned a few different runs and dabbled in Goldeneye IL runs, but Pokemon Blue Any% Glitchless was the only one I was actually good at though. My PB was a 2:06 when the WR was just under 2 hours.

I've also raced Ocarina of Time Bingo, Beta Quest and Item Randomizer, not "speedrunning" in a traditional sense but you're still trying to complete your objectives as fast as possible.

Dabbled may be a good word. I watch a lot, and only tried to learn some basic things for a few games but never really did full attempts. Mario Maker is easy to get a bunch of WRs on so I do that sometimes.

I've tried a few times, mostly with short NES games. I have beaten Ninja Gaiden 2 in 17 minutes, the fastest I've seen though is just over 9.

Not quite. I can finish Megaman X1 fairly quickly, but certainly not at the level of some speed runners.

I kept on getting better at one of the Metroid games before since it had an in-game timer and that was a fun thing to do when I was bored.

But it was never anywhere close to being at a speedrun level of play.

I did use to watch a good bit of speedrunning on Twitch back in the early 2010's.

I do the opposite unintentionally, slowrunning games. Taking as long as possible to beat any game by exploring the game universe, critical thinking about what is happening in any given moment, being greedy trying to get all the gold / items, etc.

Only Mario Kart. Mostly Wii where I was a top runner in the earlier years of the game. Had a couple world records. I'm also briefly mentioned in a Summoning Salt video.

I speedran a free game on steam called Khimera: Destroy All Monster girls. If you haven't played it, you should, it's a quaint little platformer that's just really good. I did it because I asked on the forum why there wasn't a speedrun achieve, and the dev said to beat it in under 25 mins. That was easy, then I kept going and did it under 20.

I think the current best is under 15, mostly because he added a new mechanic that wasn't in the game when I ran it, oh well.

The speedrun achievement is for 33 minutes, which is super easy when you've played through the game at least once, and it's named after me, which is cool.

I did Dark Souls in 4 hours. Thats no where near the record though.

But the answer is yes anyway. I did it on Sonic CD for some achievements. And Sonic Forces come to think of it. Then again is individual levels speedrunning? Hmm.

I used to speedrun Mario Kart 64 in high school. I was able to get within a second or two of the world records on some tracks. I'm still pretty sick at the game.
