"William Lewis Reece was formally sentenced to death Thursday for the 1997 murder of Tiffany Johnston in the town of Bethany, Oklahoma.

Theres an old saying in law, justice delayed is justice denied. Justice will not be delayed any longer in this case, I sentence you to death, the judge said to Reece.

Reece was also charged with murder for the death of Laura Smither in Friendswood, Jessica Cain in La Marque, kidnapping Kelli Ann Cox from Denton before killing her and burying her body in a Brazoria County field, as well as the kidnapping of Sandra Sapaugh, according to prosecutors.

All of these crimes took place in 1997, but it took nearly 20 years to gather enough evidence to charge Reece."

It's gotta be so weird being an executioner, regardless of how bad what they did was, you're still taking someone's life and have to live with that. I wouldn't be able to do it.

Not that I support the death penalty, but it's still gonna be delayed. Nobody gets executed right away anymore in America. It takes years

The death penalty is such a terrible punishment in America. Disregarding the fact that we've put innocent people to death, I'm talking about the 100% criminals here, not only does it take forever to happen, but it costs tax paying people a whole lot of money. Oh, you've [ToS] 22 kids? Yeah, how about we just fucking kill you right now? No? We have to wait 8 years so a bunch of people can get paid?

Yeah, its pretty shit.
If its absolutely proven without a shadow of a doubt, like a mass shooter caught on multiple cameras and multiple witnesses that can positively attest the identity of the culprit, they should be put down that same day.
