Would you support proof of vaccine requirements for in-person voting?

As many of us know, voting in person can often be met with lengthy lines and gatherings of people. From what I can tell, the Bill of Rights only guarantees the right to vote shall not be infringed on the basis of race, creed, color, or sex. No mention of vaccination status, but I'm no expert.

As some of you may know, I'm definitely against all vaccine passports and proof of vaccination for COVID. So there's my answer.

Apparently providing proof of vaccination doesn't count as providing medical records, per a few radical cities choosing to implement proof of vaccination requirements to go to restaurants, bars, gyms, etc. and some employers requiring vaccination status. I think it's wrong, but apparently they have some legal ground to stand on. I guess we'll have to see how that works out.

Stopping death is not discrimination and HIPPA is just to bar doctors from sharing without your consent. Anyone can ask you for proof of vaccination and that's a fair reason to bar entry.

you don't know what HIPAA is, which isn't surprising since you don't know how to spell it either. HIPAA does NOT mean people are not allowed to require you to submit you personal medical information. It only restricts your healthcare and insurance provider from releasing your medical records to a third party without your consent.

Oh come on, mate. Don't bash someone for including an extra P. I would have doubt you could fully spell it without using the abbreviation and without looking it up, but I could be wrong. That's only something you can determine for yourself.

I used to work for an insurance company champ. Just because you hadn't heard of HIPAA until a couple of months ago when it entered the anti-vax discourse doesn't mean no one else had either.

Ah, okay. So I'm guessing you can spell it all out without the abbreviation and without looking it up, too, right?

Either way, not a very good look to criticize someone for putting in an extra "P".

I think you could have proven your point without pointing out they got the acronym wrong and included an extra letter, when you yourself can't even spell it out without looking it up. It's not like the name of the act itself explains every detail and regulation. Get off your high horse.

Isn't mail in supposed to be easier? Do you think it would help stop the spread? After all, people can order take out instead of going to a restaurant or drinking at home. I'm just playing the devil's advocate here and trying to figure out the true meaning behind these mandates and masks.

If the true goal is safety, I think there would be other alternatives.

Nah. Least not for something as mild (relatively speaking. Its much worse then the average flu) as Covid.

However There comes a point of severity where there are almost no rights that you can't reasonably say "Fuck your rights this is more important" though. Imagine if we had a smallpox like disease spreading and people weren't getting vaccinated.

I support vaccine mandates in general though.

Hell no, it sets a bad precedent.

There are many legit reasons why someone cannot safely get vaccinated and those people shouldn't be penalized because of that.
