I mean, my dog is pretty big so I have some adjustment time. Smaller ones are needier. I wake up at some point between 7AM and noon every day and my dog is pretty much just fine. Once in a long while she'll wake me up early if she has to go outside, that's about it.

Mostly my sleep schedule is trash so I tend to fall asleep earlier or later, she's been fine for about 7 years with it.

Edit: I briefly had a schedule where my waking hours began at like 5pm due to work scheduling, she adapted to that pretty easily as well once feeding schedule was figured out.
