it's not accurate to the source material since jill is a white girl in the games so i am kind of skeptical. people didn't like how different the last franchise was so i figured they would be more faithful of the lore and fans on this one. maybe the trailer will be good

Its already better than the live action movies that we got that didnt follow any ot the stories from any of the games.

I don't have an issue with the casting for this movie. The only people who will have an issue is either gamers,racists or both.

Its already faithful to the lore for the most part. It's taking place in Raccoon city plus Jill is going to be a main character who's not shoved aside for some character who's never been in the games.

I have no issue with this, or any time a white character is played by a black actor, or vice versa.

UNLESS the characters race is a central part of the storyline. Otherwise, just cast the person you see most for for the role.

So far most of the RE movies have been bad so I wouldn't be interested in this one no matter what race the actors were. That said, they should be getting people who look the part to play the characters. Most of the characters are white except Ada who is Asian so the live actors should be as well.

Miscasting is no longer a thing that exists in Hollywood. Anybody can can play any role now.

Unless youre a white heterosexual cisgender male. Then you are lucky to get table scraps.

As long as this movie is somewhat faithful to the story from the games then it's going to be better than the previous live action movies. Which from the plot description it sounds likes its already better and going to be faithful. There is nothing wrong with two characters being played by non white actor and actress, it doesn't affect you in any way at all. Wanna see white Jill or Leon? go play the games.

There is though because when you cast someone as a particular character they should look like whoever they're portraying. Casting a black woman as Jill is like having Batman without a costume on.

Nah they really fucked it up. It's like me having black panther being white established character already.

They can make a main black character that option is Available and welcomed.

Because black people are very underrepresented in media, or have been for a very long time until recently.

They can make Jill black. It doesn't change anything besides the color of her skin.

At this point i just cant be arsed with the resident evil series. They are never going to be close to the source material anyway so I dont mind this actress. At least imo, shes far more beautiful than the RE3 remake game Jill.

Yes it is. Jill shouldn't look absurdly physically powerful. Her build contrasts with the hulking brute strength of Nemesis (or the huge zombie from the first game, the Tyrant).
