Excitedly bought the game on Steam a week ago. I've dragged on watching youtube playthroughs and now it's working to my advantage. I have not yet complete both games, only the first one.

I'm fairly surprised that the devs are that confident that they can make game 2, to have left several unresolved mysteries in game 1.

Case 1
Oh man, Kazuma immediately gave me that Mia Fey vibe. I had thought the victim was moved to a different table, rather than the steaks being moved. The coughing inspector whose name slipped my mind, was a delight and I hope to see more of him in game 2.

Case 2
And I was right. Kazuma T_T. Sholmes irritates me. A true rival should be cool of wit, and furrowed of brow. The case itself feels like I was playing a case from AAI if anything. Learning that Kazuma died from a freak accident was a bummer following the inspector's speculation of an assassination plot. But you know, when Sholmes is serious and not deducing, he's not too bad at all.

Case 3
Lord Strongheart immediately gave me Damon Gant vibes. I just KNOW I'll have to take him on sooner or later. I really did believe in McGilded at first though, only to slowly realise his true nature when I examined the omnibus and found those new, obvious and suspicious bloodstains. Baron Van Zieks was alright. Just a regular prosecutor to an AA vet like me. And the summation exam mechanic is fantastic.

Case 4
And we continue on with the low stakes in this game with a regular murder. No international espionage in space stations, no overthrowing of a country.

Say wha? Cane biting guy is back as a juror? I also started to see how the Garridebs caused another freak accident when I discovered the burnt book.

I quite like Roly and Pat as witnesses. Which is why I'm so disappointed to have that brain wave that Roly shifted the victim to a neighbouring beat.

Case 5
I like the way the stakes were low, but high at the same time. Windibank, Sholmes and Gina all raised some death flags until the flag was finally planted on Windibank. I like to think that maybe I earned Van Ziek's respect after the trial's conclusion. I'm also surprised that they left Van Ziek's backstory a mystery there.

Discovering Eggbert Benedict's blood on the disc gave me such a rush. And the omnibus case concluded in a most straightforward manner, where Mccy knifed Mason in a most ordinary knifing. Through this trial, I had the anticipation that Susato would've painted the eye on my doll before she left. Didn't happen, but it's ok. Completely messed up the body search segment, and totally lucked out on presenting the music box to Gregson.

And that concludes game 1. Wait, you mean Kazuma's death might be an assassination after all? An orchestrated accident maybe? What was Jezaille Brett's motive? A Shin must be related to Van Zieks, I'm sure. What was Kazuma's mission before he died? Damon Gant's shadow is still looming in my head. Would've been nicer imo if I had recorded my initial thoughts and wild theories on the spot, rather than waiting till now to forget them I think. I can't wait to move on to game 2.

Game 2 started with me wishing death on Susato's father. Well, not really, but I did pick Yujin's name during the judge's test. Below are some thoughts I penned down couple of days ago

Case 6 (i.e. game 2 case 1)
WELL, I was expecting the defendant from game 1 case 4 to return, but I didn't expect him to return so early. And hurray for Inspector Hosonaga.

Ah, I think I'll just sit and chill for a while while I listen to Susato's lawyer theme.

Continuing on case 6...
Am I suffering from fatigue from game 1? Wow, I got tripped up by merely the second testimony, and the immediately following part where I was suppose to present the post mortem report to support the possibility of poison. I am ashamed, yes I am.

By golly, did Jezaille get stabbed through the walls of the bathroom?

Oh great. Now I csn't even notice the cracked lens on the photograph and mistakenly presented the pen. It was by sheer luck and instinct that I presented the newspaper thereafter, that the game told me about the crack.

Aha, Soseki has named my mystery RM person.

Susato's pursuit theme is kinda lacking.

Hmmm... I'm at (what i think is) the last cross examination. Reason why Menimemo wanted to stab Jezaille... I presume it's to lure Rei to pull out the blade to take the photo. But I have no idea which piece of evidence is the correct one, seeing that there are a couple of plausible pieces of evidence.

And that's case 6 done.
Is this the first person named "Judge" to be given a real name? An ominous, evil sounding name at that. The kind of name an evil person plotting something evil behind the scenes would have I might add.

Yujin is raising so many death flags now, it's not even funny. Guess I shouldn't have named him in the judge's test.

Hmmmm, Soseki was involved in 2 cases? I'm sure I defended him in only 1 (the one with roly and pat) case. I assume that'll be covered in case 7.

Case 7
Wait a minute, if I defended Soseki in case 4, and Soseki presumably left between case 4 and case 5, and I got disbarred after case 4.5 (which is basically our case 7), then how did I appear in court in case 5?

No! I remember this guy who lives under Soseki's unit!

WHAT THE HELL WILLIAM STOOD UP (anti all caps)

On a side note, I'm expecting Mr Furst the hat maker to be a juror sooner or later.

HRRRRMMMM...... A person died in Soseki's Briar Road room. I'm gonna take a wild stab and say it's the man from Olive Green's photograph. Also, I think his room's design is causing him to suffer from gas poisoning.

And now, the trial begins

I honestly have no idea who the true culprit is, or what plot he or she used to poison William at the moment. I'm assuming it can't be simple gas poisoning based on the fact that I was disbarred due to this trial. Something evil must be lurking at the back.

This is the exact same band of jurors for Soseki's first trial, save for juror number 4. Trying to remember who was the previous juror number 4...

Oh yes, now I remember. It was Mrs Garrideb.

Metermann, almost as great a name as Puhray Zealot, Rheel Name or Deid Mann.

Took a while, but I finally got the pun in Mrs Altamont's name. Finding the hole in the gas meter finally made the anomaly on the soap make sense, I think.
