Do militaries even exist in Disney lalaland MCU universe or what??
We hardly even saw any soldiers in Avengers 1 either.

And before you say guns dont work in superhero movies, let me remind you here we have a unpowered woman in a skimpy outfit with a handgun, Bucky using a rifle and a bunch of Wakanda soldiers using outdated spears like it's medieval times.

The whole battle lasted like half an hour.

And presumably there wasn't much left of the militaries after the Snap.

Those Wakandan spears are Made of Vibranium pretty sure and have some advanced effects beyond stabbing.

The military was likely decimated after the Snap and then in disarray when everyone returned. They wouldn't be able to mobilize instantly.

I mean. every other faction seemed ready to mobilize and march out of Stranges portals. Claiming the snap made them not prepared seems like a cop out.

Then after the snap he popped out of a portal and the battle didnt last very long so probably not enough time to do much.

Well, the other factions knew more about what was going on thanks to Strange. The U.S. military isn't as well equipped or trained for space tyrants like the Ravagers, Wakanda and wizards are.

And regular militaries somehow have portals to get to the fight instantly? And size does matter, larger forces do require more time to get ready and deployed.

I can accept that the military couldnt get there in time. But given that half of Earths population was killed last time, I cant believe 20 nukes from around the world werent inbound the moment Thanos showed up in a satellite feed.

And Wandavision kind of shows that the military isnt really decimated. Sword apparently went on just fine.

Yes, in this instance. Carpet bombing the area would only serve to kill your allies (see: Rain fire.) Plus, the equipment you're talking about is far inferior to the ships/armaments they already had. You'd be creating an even more chaotic battlefield.

And lol @"just peak human." I take it you don't actually understand how that would vastly increase his rate of fire/accuracy and maneuverability. Most of the soldiers you want would fall to friendly fire under these circumstances.

There was like a half hour gap inbetween Hulks snap and the portals opening. Most of the Wakandan army would have reappeared ready to fight, and Strange had enough people to portal to all those places and get other fighters in the same time.

Lets look at it from the militarys perspective

• Blip is suddenly reversed, restoring the lost half of life on earth.
• Unknown alien capital ship immediately attacks the Avengers HQ.
• Over the next hour or two, multiple large groups of other superhumans appear to aid the Avengers.
• Iron Man quickly formulates a plan & wrestles the gauntlet from Thanos, effectively ending the encounter.

At what point was bombarding or deployment considered a viable option?

I just said the same thing about the Wakandan army. They're using medieval weapons. Tell me whcih part of that is technologically advanced? I know they have a bunch of lasers and stuff in their actual city, but the whole concept is nigh ridiculous and I pity if MCU has robbed you of common sense to think realistically
