Those are good and you can basically use them as a salt substitute in sauces to get a more savory kind of sauce.

I wouldn't eat them straight out of the tin though.

I always have a pair of olive oiled sardine's cans at home. Just in case.
With chickpea and a bit of parsley, they make a delicious breakfast.

Of course, i prefer grilled fresh sardines. Especially at morning.

My dad used to eat them sometimes on club crackers.

He preferred the smoked canned oysters though.

Yea i used to eat the tinned sardines when i was really into bouldering and wanted a cheap protein source

Iirc my go-to was to throw them in with some breadcrumbs, an egg, mustard, and spices, then fry it up as a fish cake

P good and cheap

Agree.

In Spain they have a similarly flavored type.

They are healthy and tasty.

I even do the plain, in oil or water once in a while.

Yes I liked them but then I learned about how shitty the global fish trade is a year or two ago and so I cut fish out of my diet.

Not a fan. They're definitely one of the highest sources of protein for very little calories (20g/90calories), but the taste doesn't do it for me. I much prefer canned mackerel - I can eat that easily, although it does have only 15g protein per 230 calories.

Yea

Bear in mind this was like 2014 and protein was all that mattered. No one cared about fats back then

It's very common here in Asia as they're cheap.

Not something you should eat on its own however.

Rice, cracker, bread

I just cant comprehend what it would be like to chew on one, since youre eating it with the skin, bones, and pretty much everything.

Finnicky eaters aka "those who cannot be discomfited".

Never heard of Ligo but I am open to suggestions. I'm in L.A. so any brand is possible.

Had a couple "mustard flavored" brands from Portugal that were good too.
