They don't trust Doctors and the government. So let's not treat them. We are cancelling treatment for other things, because of this. And there are some people who got the jab and still got sick. We need more doctors to help them.

They should be triaged at the bottom of the list, with all vaccinated people who enter after them getting prioritized.

Admit them if there is room. Push them out if something non covid related and serious comes in

Nah. In this case it's more like, how someone who is a lifelong heavy smoker and drinker won't likely qualify for a transplant because the surgeons fear the recipient would continue the behavior that damaged their body to begin with, and that the behavior would damage the transplanted parts, therefore it should go to someone more deserving.

Idk if they do that in America. Cause they getting paid (and pretty damn good) either way and the patient will definitely be paying a pretty penny even with insurance

Should they treat someone who was going 30 miles an hour over the speed limit and got in a wreck?
Should they treat someone who is diabetic from poor health choices?

People make decisions all the time that effect their lives and their health. You can't start picking and choosing which you want a hospital to worry about and which you don't.

Weather or not they want the treatment is for them to decide. Not the hospitals whom arendutu bound and especially not us or you to TC.

I mean I'll be the first to admit I don't know but I was assuming in a society where we pay out of pocket for medical bills it would be first come first serve provided they can find a match.

I wanna say I recall hearing stories of rich people coming from other countries foe shit cause throwing money at the problem allowed them to skip the line they woulda delt with at home. That could be wrong though as its just something someone told me. But you can see why id assume such things

this. even for "lesser" things, such as a sore toe or a general checkup

Yeab I know that. Just thought it was a little quicker when money gets involved. Monet aint gonna make the organ appear but they could bump you up the list.

Edit: used to live near a hospital that was rumored to do organ harvesting if someone poor/no insurance came in dying. This convo just randomly made me think of that.
