I used to take a low dose ssri (10mg of Escitalopram) a day.

Been soon without it a year. Mostly Ive been fine and really good. Had a couple of dips but could handle it well.

But lately Im having trouble, my GAD (general anxiety disorder) and social phobia is affecting me enough to change my behaviour again. My tools from therapy is hard to use.

My negative thoughs are affecting me more.

I didnt have too much side effects of the ssri (at 15mg it was too much) so I dunno.

would be so easy to just let all the shitty thoughts and emotions take over and just suffer, for some stupid reason. Im tired of every day handling everything that gives me anxiety, and now when its not working its even more tiresome.

Just had to rant somewhat. Ugh, I hate my brain.

Since March maybe, I had a dip then but it was over within a week, but ever since then I feel thibgs slowly been changing, I think I prob havent fully handled things correctly, like instead of actually facing and handling stuff I may have repressed or thought around them. My avoidance behaviour has been increasing. Thing is I didnt notice this happening really.

That is quite awhile, I thought you might say weeks. I mean, it would be awesome if you could keep the streak going, but if you're at your wits end there's no shame in going back or doing whatever you have to do. But if there are other steps you can take first I'd do that

I could schedule myself to do meditation and stuff like that but I prob need the ssri to chill out my brain to be able to. I get stuck and give up.

Its weird. I feel like I should call in sick for a week lr something from work, but I know that will make me feel worse. But work also makes me feel bad cuz I get anxiety over what I do and second guess me all the time.

I feel so trapped.

I know the feeling TC. It's really frustrating. I have terrible anxiety and panic disorder and no medication has ever worked. I've been put on everything from antidepressants to antipsychotics to benzos, and nothing has worked.

Man that sucks, I cant really imagine how that is, I know I dont have it as bad as I know it can get and Im lucky with how well things have worked. But the darkness just overpowers logic.

Fuck you anxiety. Doesnt help that we have ppl on sick leave at work and they asked me if I could extra but I just cant. And that gives me lots of anxiety too.

Its very illegal here in Sweden. Just having it tracable in yout system is a crime (like say you had a blunt in Amsterdam, fail a drug test some week later here, you are a criminal).

Tho opinions a changing among people the goverment is stone cold anti drugs and cannabis, punish the users. Same strategy they had for 30
years and we have the highest drug caused deaths in Europe.

Anywya, yeah it was part of my recovery, slowing down my brain so it was easier to use my tools. I on a break atm, but I think I may used it wrong this time and its instead helped me ignore my signs.
