Personally I don't know much about Digimon The first part and second parts are mostly faithful dubs, barring typical Saban-isms, with some bullshit about Willis spliced in to make it seem like there's an overarching plot. It was the third part (Hurricane Touchdown) that was the most butchered. The remaining movies (one more for 02, two for Tamers, and one for Frontier) were dubbed and released on Jetix years later. The funny reason it took so long? They literally didnt know the movies existed lol. But on topic, I actually liked Hey Digimon and that scene was still hella emotional for me back then. There really werent a lot of shows like Digimon back then for kids, really. Serialized, dealt with some tough themes and wasn't afraid to lean into drama, or depict tragedy, like death of close friends.
