This is so stupid. Even a pathetic amount of knowledge of history would tell you that there's been ample ethnic discrimination against people groups traditionally considered 'White' (look at the Irish and Italians).

I once used the race card when another kid pointed out to the class that my VW shirt said "Fukengrooven" on it, and I responded by calling it a slight against my German heritage.

It wasn't that long ago that Italians, Spaniards, Romani, Slavs, Irish, and others were not considered "white" by racists. To be "white" you had to be Anglo-Saxon or Germanic. I guess as racism became less acceptable they had to expand their definition of "white" to recruit more racists.

Fun fact: The term "paddy wagon" (slang for a police van) has racist origins. In the 19th century "Paddy" was an ethnic slur for the Irish, and at the time over half of the people arrested in New York were Irish.
