It's the same game, it just keeps changing its name to train simulator current year. And yeah that game has had DLC in the thousands for a pretty long time now.

Dead or Alive 6 is over 1000 dollars.

They have over 460 DLC so it too much for Steam to add hitherto .

It's not the only culprit, also you don't have to buy all the dlc, I only get the ones I know will have gameplay elements and items I'd use, probably why I only have 3 so far (ok one was the country kitchen kit and yes I knoow those were bitched about but sims addict ahem >_>) also there are sales every now and then plus you can make a bundle or something for a reduced price

If they're creating content that far exceeds the scope of the original game, you can't really complain about them charging out the ass for it. If they're charging $5 for a furniture color swap or something, then yeah, that's shitty.

Star Citizen has a dlc for $27k I think.

But yeah, the pricing for all the content features is horrid beyond belief.

Fucking Skyrim lets you get pets. But you have to pay 40 dollars to get pets in the Sims.

Come on, this is life simulator that doesn't come with cars, pets, or seasons.

i have 200 hours on there and hundreds of mods. the only dlc i bought is the one for the rain.

The best part is that every single Sims game has the same expansions. All four of them have had some variation on pets, seasons, fame, and vacations.

Yeah, I got into the series with Sims 3, but even then, I knew that they were gouging its playerbase with scummy DLC. It got so much worse with Sims 4 that I just quit there.

I'm pretty sure the Sims 3 was worse. They had a store where you could make smart choices like playing $2 for a single couch and such.

Also there was a Katy Perry pack. That still makes me laugh.

It's EA games, if there is money to be made with DLC they're going to milk the living shit out of it. It's also kind of funny that most of the backlash they get is when they try to go to the gacha/loot box route.

I laugh everytime I'm looking at sales and Sims 4 has packages listed at half-price. Bitch I wouldn't pay for that if it was 80% off. It's a half-finished game that was piecemealed out by DLC
